About Weltech Pumps
Our Foundation and Journey
Weltech Pumps was established as the dedicated pump manufacturing arm of the AIRFIN group of companies — born from a clear conviction: if the group was going to promise reliability to its clients, it needed to control the source of that reliability. Rather than depend on third-party manufacturers or traded products, Weltech was built to manufacture every pump it sells.
Operating from Ahmedabad, Gujarat — one of India's most significant industrial hubs — Weltech built its manufacturing capabilities methodically. Early focus was placed on self-priming pumps for dewatering and sewage transfer, and centrifugal pumps for general industrial fluid handling. Over time, the product range expanded to address increasingly specialized applications: corrosive chemical transfer, fibrous solids handling in pulp and paper refining, ANSI-standard chemical process pumps, deep sump emptying, and submersible dirty-water pumping.
Today, Weltech's product portfolio spans ten distinct pump series, each purpose-built for a specific class of application. This is not a catalogue assembled from traded or white-labelled products. Every model is engineered, manufactured, tested, and supported by Weltech's own team — from the molten metal stage through to the finished pump leaving the factory floor.
What Sets Weltech Apart
- Own Foundry Operations – Weltech owns and operates its own foundry, producing all major pump castings — casings, impellers, and volutes — under full metallurgical control. This is the foundation of Weltech's quality assurance.
- Complete Manufacturing Control – From casting through machining, assembly, and testing, every stage happens under Weltech's direct oversight with no dependency on third-party manufacturers.
- Application-Specific Product Range – Ten distinct pump series, each designed for a specific class of application. Clients get a pump built for their duty, not one that merely comes close.
- Engineering Support – Pump selection, system design review, NPSH analysis, and troubleshooting are part of Weltech's value proposition — not billed as premium consulting.
- AIRFIN Group Integration – Part of a group active in water treatment and industrial engineering for over three decades, with presence in India, UAE, and the USA.
From Molten Metal to Finished Pump
Foundry & Casting
Every Weltech pump begins at the foundry. Casings, impellers, and volutes are cast in-house under full metallurgical control, with alloy specifications verified at source — not reliant on supplier certificates.
Machining & Precision Finishing
Cast components are machined to tight dimensional tolerances on Weltech's own production floor. Critical surfaces — bearing housings, seal faces, impeller wear rings — are finished to specification before any assembly begins.
Assembly
Pumps are assembled by trained technicians following model-specific build procedures. Shaft alignment, seal installation, and bearing fits are checked at each stage to ensure every unit meets Weltech's internal build standard.
Testing & Quality Control
Every completed pump is tested for hydraulic performance, seal integrity, and vibration before despatch. Units are only released once they meet performance parameters for their specified duty point.
Mission
To design and manufacture pumping solutions that industrial operators and municipal bodies can depend on — day in and day out — without compromise on quality, performance, or after-sales support. Weltech exists to take the risk of pump failure off the table for its clients.
Vision
To be the most trusted name in industrial pump manufacturing across South Asia and the Middle East, recognized for the consistency, durability, and engineering integrity of every product that leaves the factory floor.
Values
- Quality Without Compromise
Every pump Weltech produces is built to perform reliably in the conditions it was designed for. Quality is built in, not inspected in.
- Engineering Integrity
Weltech recommends the right pump for the application — not the most expensive one, and not a pump that merely comes close. Honest, accurate product selection is non-negotiable.
- In-House Manufacturing Control
Weltech does not trade pumps. It makes them. This distinction drives every decision about materials, tolerances, and testing standards.
- Reliability Over Convenience
Weltech builds pumps for the long run. Lower initial cost at the expense of service life is not a trade-off Weltech makes.
- Customer Partnership
The relationship with a client does not end at invoice. Weltech supports its products through spare parts availability, technical guidance, and field service.
Part of the AIRFIN Group of Companies
The AIRFIN group has been active in water treatment and industrial engineering for over three decades. Operating across India, the UAE, and the United States, the group brings together manufacturing, design, and consulting capabilities under one umbrella — with each company in the group focused on a specific area of industrial fluid and environmental engineering.
The group's portfolio includes Weltech Pumps (centrifugal and industrial pumps), Jay Engineering (aeration diffusers), and Aqua Bio Plast (MBBR media and tube settler media). AIRFIN Technologies serves as the group’s commercial and sales entity, representing all portfolio products to clients across municipal, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
For clients, the practical benefit is significant. Weltech pumps are regularly paired with group products — aeration diffusers, treatment media, and engineered system designs — in complete plant solutions. Rather than coordinating across multiple vendors, clients work with a single point of technical responsibility covering the full scope of the installation.
Quality Built In, Not Inspected In.
Most pump manufacturers source their castings from external foundries and begin their process at the machining stage. Weltech goes further: it owns and operates its own foundry, which means the manufacturing chain starts at the molten metal stage. Alloy specifications are verified at source — not accepted on a supplier’s certificate.
This depth of control has a direct consequence: when a Weltech pump underperforms or fails, Weltech can investigate the root cause at every level of the manufacturing process — including the casting itself — and implement a corrective action that improves every future pump of that type. A trading company cannot do this at all. A manufacturer without its own foundry cannot do it fully.
Every finished pump is tested for hydraulic performance, seal integrity, and vibration before despatch — released only once it meets the performance parameters for its specified duty point. Beyond the factory, Weltech’s commitment to quality extends through the product’s working life: impellers, seals, shafts, bearings, and wear parts for all Weltech models are stocked and available for the installed base.
